Program Description
Teen Life Skills Center (TLSC) is a summer camp and boarding school that caters to students and troubled teens from ages 12 to 17 years and 3 months and their families. TLSC understands the importance of education, emotional growth and the need for behavior modification for certain troubled teens. Our curriculum offers stability through reality based education, a structured daily schedule, an academic program tailored to your Student's educational success as well as emotional growth seminars designed to build self-esteem and a healthy outlook on life. Our Reality Based Program is aimed at Helping your teen to fit back into society. A Typical Student At TLSC:
  • Defiant, unruly, out of control
  • Doing poorly, refusing to go to, or failing in school
  • Some substance experimentation.
  • Possibly some minor legal troubles, shoplifting, taking the family car etc.
  • Oppositional Defiant, Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
  • Doesn't respect or follow directions of adult leaders
  • Must have at least average I.Q. (90) no severe learning disabilities
  • In good physical health.
Academics
Teen Life Skills Center offers several choices for High School and College Prep. There is a High School diploma program offered with accredited courses. Students have the ability to move at their own pace and learning ability. Competent staff and tutors are provided at every stage of their education. Instead of focusing on High School, TLSC pushes college bound curriculum. Each student is assessed upon admission by our Education Specialist and then guided through designing their own specific course for success.
